Encabe\u00e7ado pelo MC brasileiro<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Rodrigo Brand\u00e3o<\/strong>, o<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>GRIOT 3000<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>celebra a heran\u00e7a africana do jazz e homenageia a figura do griot, os guardi\u00f5es da sabedoria, da Hist\u00f3ria e da cultura da \u00c1frica Ocidental.<\/p>\n<p>Depois de uma passagem marcante por Lisboa, no passado s\u00e1bado (15 de fevereiro), o sexteto encerra a sua primeira digress\u00e3o com um concerto no<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>gnration<\/strong>, em Braga, no dia 22 de fevereiro. A forma\u00e7\u00e3o in\u00e9dita re\u00fane talentos de diferentes partes do mundo, criando uma experi\u00eancia sonora \u00fanica e enriquecedora.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>A Forma\u00e7\u00e3o do GRIOT 3000<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>O grupo \u00e9 liderado pelo artista de spoken word brasileiro<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Rodrigo Brand\u00e3o<\/strong>, que d\u00e1 voz e poesia ao projeto. A ele juntam-se:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Braima Galiss\u00e1<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(Guin\u00e9-Bissau) \u2013 Mestre da kora, instrumento tradicional de 22 cordas da \u00c1frica Ocidental.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dud\u00f9 Kouat\u00e9<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(Senegal) \u2013 Percussionista e mestre dos ritualismos africanos, membro do hist\u00f3rico Art Ensemble of Chicago.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lu\u00eds Vicente<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(Portugal) \u2013 Trompetista aclamado da m\u00fasica improvisada europeia e norte-americana.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Carla Santana<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(Portugal) \u2013 Artista de eletr\u00f3nica, conhecida como Quatroconnection.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Thiago Leiros-Costa<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(Brasil) \u2013 Guitarrista e l\u00edder do trio de jazz brasileiro On\u00e7a Combo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Inspira\u00e7\u00e3o e Improvisa\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Inspirados pelo<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Organic Music Society<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(1972), de Don Cherry, os membros do GRIOT 3000 praticamente n\u00e3o se conheciam antes desta uni\u00e3o. Atrav\u00e9s da m\u00fasica, v\u00e3o-se conhecendo e criando uma linguagem comum, numa estreia que promete deixar marca nos palcos por onde passam.<\/p>\n<p>O percussionista<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Dud\u00f9 Kouat\u00e9<\/strong>, nascido no seio de uma fam\u00edlia de griots, traz consigo a tradi\u00e7\u00e3o e a sabedoria dos ritmos africanos. J\u00e1 colaborou com nomes como Hamid Drake, James Brandon Lewis e Moor Mother, e j\u00e1 tocou em festivais de renome internacional, como o Primavera Sound Barcelona e o Jazzfest Berlim.<\/p>\n<p>Do lado da kora,<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Braima Galiss\u00e1<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00e9 um dos grandes representantes da cultura Mandinga. Com mais de 60 anos de experi\u00eancia, Braima \u00e9 considerado um dos melhores m\u00fasicos da sua gera\u00e7\u00e3o, tendo trabalhado com artistas como Sara Tavares e Jo\u00e3o Afonso.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>O Eixo Portugu\u00eas e a Influ\u00eancia Brasileira<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>O trompetista<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Lu\u00eds Vicente<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>e a artista de eletr\u00f3nica<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Carla Santana<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>representam o eixo portugu\u00eas do grupo.
