Takeover Fest by Forecast brings innovative Portuguese initiatives to the forefront
On the weekend of April 29th and 30th, Trienal de Lisboa and Forecast present a festival showcasing Portuguese initiatives that respond to urban, ecological, and social challenges by developing innovative projects in various fields of action. Eight initiatives in the arts, design, and architecture fields with strong participatory components will be highlighted at Palácio Sinel de Cordes, with free entry to the public.
Some of the initiatives include Abrigo, a micro-architecture workshop that promotes training in self-construction and the reinterpretation of natural/vernacular materials such as earth or straw; Atelier MURO, which designs architecture projects with construction waste to make building more circular and sustainable; and PADA Studios, a creative hub dedicated to the creation and presentation of projects by emerging and established national and international artists.
Additionally, the festival will feature workshops, presentations, and discussions on a variety of topics related to urbanism, mobility, sustainability, and community engagement. The festival will also include a book launch, a garden revolution workshop, and a party featuring food by Food from the Block.
Takeover Fest by Forecast is a must-see event for anyone interested in innovative Portuguese initiatives and creative solutions to urban and social challenges.
