On March 25, 2023, the CCB will celebrate World Poetry Day with a program that marks the centenary of Eugénio de Andrade’s birth, supported by the National Reading Plan – PNL2027. From 3 pm to 7 pm, several initiatives will take place in different spaces of the Congress and Meeting Center. The already classic Say a Poem, a space for spontaneous poetry recitations, this year featuring Eurico Lopes and, for the first time, the Mini Say a Poem, aimed at a younger audience, under the guidance of Ana Sofia Paiva.
The Reading Marathon, moderated by André Gago, will host poetry readings by personalities from various fields, and a conversation about Eugénio de Andrade’s life and work. Visitors can also watch a documentary about the poet and browse through the poetry and book fair. All events are free. Come celebrate this day with the CCB.
