The Cultural Center of Cape Verde (CCCV), Neve Insular, and the Institute for Research in Art, Design, and Society (i2ADS) are presenting the exhibition “Neve Insular 0,0003% – Cotton and Resistance” at CCCV in Lisbon. The event will be held on March 31 at 6:30 pm and is free to attend.
The exhibition explores the intersection of art, ecology, and social transformation in the context of environmental, cognitive, political, and cultural crises. The Neve Insular project, based on 0.0003% of the land surface of the island of São Vicente, Cabo Verde, aims to integrate agroecological, educational, and artistic dimensions into the cotton fiber production cycle.
In addition to the exhibition, the program includes seminars and workshops to discuss the history of cotton cultivation and resistance, as well as the production and transformation of cotton. The event is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the cultural heritage and traditions of Cabo Verde and the art scene in Lisbon.
The exhibition will be open to the public until April 21, 2023. Visitors are encouraged to register in advance for the seminars and workshops to secure their spot. For more information and registration, please contact [email protected] or +351 93 90 59 054.
